These holiday homes are not located on the island of Schiermonnikoog, but on the mainland in Lauwersoog, situated on the edge of the Lauwersmeer!
However, this offers the ideal base for a day trip to Schiermonnikoog. The ferry port of Lauwersoog is only a short distance from the cottages, from where ferries to Schiermonnikoog depart regularly. This way you can easily explore the unique island for a day, with its beautiful nature, beaches and characteristic village. After a day on the island you return to the peace and comfort of your holiday home on the Lauwersmeer.
These holiday homes are located in a unique location on the edge of the beautiful Lauwersmeer, in the northernmost point of the Netherlands. The cottage is located inside the dike and offers a breathtaking view over the water of the Lauwersmeer, a National Park known for its unspoilt nature, rich flora and fauna, and numerous water sports opportunities. Thanks to its location directly on the water, it is the ideal base for nature lovers, hikers, cyclists and water sports enthusiasts.
The sailing school and the marina of Lauwersoog are located in the immediate vicinity of the cottages, making this place particularly suitable for sailors and other water sports enthusiasts. In addition, the fishing harbour is within walking distance, where you can enjoy the local restaurants along the harbour. For an extra special experience, you can visit the new UNESCO World Heritage Centre Wadden Sea (WEC), located near the fishing harbour. Here you can discover everything about the special Wadden area and learn more about the seal sanctuary.
The area also offers numerous sights, such as the picturesque village of Zoutkamp, which is known for its fishing history and charming atmosphere.
